Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball rolls off big sweep over Kuyper, Michigan
Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team returned home on Saturday, October 11th to face the Kuyper Cougars (MI) in a doubleheader. Once the dust had settled, the Caney Creek ladies would earn the sweep without dropping a set to lift their record to 14-7. Kyper fell to 3-15.
Match 1
ALC-3; Kuyper-0
The Eagles would take a three-set win in the opening match.
In game 1, the contest was close early, but the hosts steadily pulled away to win 25-18.
Game 2 saw the Pippa Passes posse take control from the onset as they won big, 25-12.
Game 3, saw the Bluegrass bunch determined to end things and they quickly took advantage. From there, they would maintain their pace to earn the match-clinching 25-15 victory.
For the match, Taylon Hoskins led the club with 15 kills, followed by Callie Butler and Rose Scotello with 9 and 8. Jadyn Hall (12), Gracie Gibson (9), and Peyton Taylor (8) provided the digs while Taylor dished out 40 assists. Christa Amburgey led everyone with 4 service aces.
For the match, the home team led in kills (47-21), digs (51-41), assists (46-19), and aces ( 9-4).
Match 2

For the second-straight game, the hosts would take the match in straight sets.
In game 1, the contest was close in the early going, but ALC would slowly pull away to win, 25-17.
Game 2 saw the Cougars put up a real battle as the two squads traded points throughout. The game would go to extra serves, but the the Lady Eagles scored the final two points to pull out the 26-24 victory.
Game 3, saw the Kentucky club jump ahead and gain a slight lead. They would then maintain their distance the rest of the way and seal the game, 25-15.
For the match, Scotello (8), Hoskins (7), and Kyleah Ward (7) handled the kills. while Taylor (11) and Gibson (10), broke out the digs.Taylor dished out 30 assists while Gibson led the crew with 4 service aces.
