Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles Volleyball drops match to Georgetown
Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team returned home on Tuesday, September 16th to face the Georgetown Lady Tigers .The Caney Creek crew would fall in four sets.

The Eagles (9-4) would fall in four sets to GC (2-7).
In game 1, the score was tied early before the Tigers went on a run to take a 15-8 advantage. From there, they would close out and take the win, 25-15.
Game 2 saw a close battle as ALC held an early 8-7 lead. However, the central Kentucky club reeled off 7 consecutive points to move ahead, 14-8. The Eagles would get within four (18-14), but the guests would hold on to win, 25-18.
Game 3, saw the Tigers lead early 5-3, but the Caney Creek bunch scored five quick points to move ahead, 8-5. GC would inch back to only trail 13-12, but from there, the hosts played their best ball, rolling off a nice 12-3 blitz to take the game, 25-15.
The important game 4 saw the squads battle evenly, knowing the importance behind it. The scoreboard alternated points until it read 11-11, but the Tigers seized the momentum. The visitors would close things by unleashing a big 14-1 burst, and this would hand them the decisive 25-12 victory and seal the match.
GC led in kills (39-32), assists (37-31), and digs (52-42), while the hosts led in service aces, 8-5.
Individually, Taylon Hoskins and Kyleah Ward led in kills, with 8 and 7. Peyton Taylor led in assists (26), and digs (10), and tied for the lead in service aces with Christa Amburgey as both had 3.
