Alice Lloyd Soccer Battles #5 Boyce College

Louisville, KY: On October 6th, the Alice Lloyd Eagles traveled to Louisville to face the NCCAA's 5th-ranked Boyce Bulldogs. The hosts pulled out a 6-0 victory.

ALC Coach Juan Lander's team kept things close in the first half. The contest remained scoreless until Boyce scored the first goal at 35:52 (1-0). However, the game would change dramatically soon afterward.

At 39:57, ALC accessed a red card for an illegal hand strike on the ball inside the box, and the hosts would score on the penalty kick (2-0).

In the second half, the Eagles were forced to play one man short, and Boyce (6-1) took full advantage, scoring four more times to pull out the victory.

On the day, the Eagles were limited to only 5 shots on goal, compared to the Bulldog's 24. The Louisville club had 8 corner kicks compared to the Eagles' 5. BC led in fouls, 11-4.

On offense, Isaiah Collins had 2 shots on goal, but both were just wide. ALC goalie Joseph Westphal registered 5 saves.

The Eagles (1-4-1) return to action on Monday, October 10, when they host Kentucky Christian University at 5:30 pm.
