Pippa Passes, KY: On November 12th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles (7-28) hosted the Boyce College Lady Bulldogs (21-10) in the championship game of the Mideast Regional Tournament. In a tough match, ALC concluded its season with a 3-0 defeat.
In Game 1, the visitors took a small lead and maintained it until the final point. Boyce took the set, 25-17.
Game 2 was tight early but the Bulldogs slowly took control of the tempo and pulled ahead to win, 25-16.
In Game 3, the fans were treated to a nip-and-tuck affair as both teams displayed great determination. ALC slowly crept ahead 17-12 and would still lead 22-19. Unfortunately, just when it looked like victory was within reach for the Caney Creek crew, the Louisville club responded in the clutch with a 6-1 rally to roar back and win the match, 25-23.
For the contest, Kyleah Ward and Tianna Wesley both recorded 6 kills, while Rose Scotello delivered 16 assists and 3 service aces. Gracie Gibson came through with 21 digs.
