Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles soccer opens 2025 season

Bluefield, VA: On Tuesday, August 27th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles (0-1) opened the 2025 soccer campaign by facing the homestanding Bluefield College Rams (1-1). After the dust had settled, the hosts prevailed, 12-0.

ALC played hard, but BC managed to produce numerous scores before intermission. This permitted them to take a 7-0 advantage into the locker room.

In the second half, the Bulldogs spread out five more points to build on their lead.

Alice Lloyd battled to the very end, but the Virginia club would not be caught on this day.

For the match, the hosts fired 44 shots compared to the Lady Eagles 1, and led in corner kicks 7-0. These numbers would prove fatal. ALC's Brylan Adkins had a good attempt for a score, but the ball sailed wide of the target.

Pippa Passes goalie Abby Maynard  did register 12 saves. ALC committed 1 fouls compared to the Bulldogs' 4.

The Lady Eagles (0-1) return to action on Tuesday, September 2nd, when they travel to North Carolina to face Brevard University. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
