ALC Lady Eagles Student-Athlete of the Week (January 22nd, 2024): Hannah Kash and Riley Schreck
We split the female Student-Athlete of the Week honor between Lady Eagle basketball players Hannah Kash and Riley Schreck.
In the tough 77-67 defeat at Indiana University Kokomo, Kash drilled 30 points (11-22 FG; 5-10 3FG, 3-4 FT) while adding 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.
The Campton (KY) native followed that up in the tough 85-78 defeat at Saint Mary of the Woods by pumping in 27 points (7-19 FG; 4-10 3FG, 9-9 FT) and adding 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block and 2 steals.
For the week, she averaged 28.5 points while shooting 43.9% (18-41) from the floor, 45% (9-20) from long range, and 92.3% (12-13) from the charity line. For good measure, she grabbed 5 rebounds, added 9 assists, 6 steals and 1 block.
In addition, Schreck came up big in the contest at SMWC as the Ironton (OH) native pumped in a career high 14 points, including 4-5 long bombs, to keep her squad in contention.
The Lady Eagles are currently 9-9 on the season.
