Anderson and Eversole combine for 53 points; lead ALC Eagles to 91-86 overtime comeback win over Grace Christian Michigan

Wyoming, MI: The Alice Lloyd Eagles continued their trip to the Wolverine State on Saturday February 7th as they faced the Grace Christian Tigers. In a matchup where the Eagles trailed by 15 points in the first half, the Caney Creek crew clawed back behind the one-two punch of Koji Anderson and Evin Eversole to take the overtime victory, 91-86.

In the opening stanza, the visitors got off to a good start as their big duo scored 9 points to lift their club to a 14-11 lead at 14:26. However, over the next 9:30, GC rolled off a huge 26-8 blitz to leap ahead 37-22 at 4:56.

The Kentucky kids then came up with a big defensive stop and got the ball back for the final shot. Eversole made a nice move in the paint, but his last-second jumper rolled off, sending the match into overtime.

In OT, Eversole took over by sinking a free throw and then connecting on a beautiful move to give his buddies an 83-80 advantage. After another defensive stop by ALC, Eversole promptly found junior guard Landon Napier streaking to the hoop on a fast-break, and his hoop made the score 85-80 at 3:46. Although Grace Christian still battled, the Caney Crew would not be denied as they maintained their lead until the final buzzer sounded on the huge victory.
