Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles/ Eagles Golf Teams participate in NCCAA Mideast Regional Tournament

 

 

Prestonsburg, KY: On September 15th/16th, the Alice Lloyd College golf teams traveled to Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg to participate in the 2025 NCCAA Mideast Region Tournament. A berth in the nationals would be on the line for the winning squad.

Two full women's squads with 14 participants and four full men's squads with 24 participants battled over two days. 

For the ladies, Campbellsville (KY) was the overall team champion, winning in a solid performance over Ohio Christian University. Individually, Tristan Wilson of OCU was the overall champion, firing a 159 over two days to win by 2-strokes.

For Alice Lloyd, Cayden Anderson was the lone representative, and she finished with a two-day total of 182, good for 7th Place.

In the men's event, the University of Asbury would take home the gold medal, led by overall champion Jackson Raby at +148 who pulled out a 1-stroke win on the final hole. Alice Lloyd would finish in 4th  place, producing a two-day total of 663 (+95).

Individually overall, the Eagles were led by Gabe Johnson, who fired a 77-79 to finish in 6th place, with a two-day total of 156 (+14). He was closely followed by Riley Newsome and Carson Hanson, who both shot a 168 (+12), and tied for 12th Place.

In addition, Bryson Bartley at 171(+29) and Brady Bentley at 198 (+56), both contributed to the cause.
