Alice Lloyd Eagles participate in the NCCAA DII Cross Country National Championship

Joplin, MO: On Friday, November 14th, Alice Lloyd Cross Country journeyed to Joplin, Missouri, to participate in the NCCAA DII National Championship. Two males qualified for this prestegious meet.

The field was comprised of 73 men toeing the starting line for the 8K (5 miles) men's race.  The course was challenging, and cool weather conditions only made things more interesting.

In the men's event, Nathaniel Kiser crossed the line in a time of 32:04 to finish in 39th place. His teammate Gabriel Maggard was close behind as his time of 32:14 earned him 45th place. Both runners achieved season's best times in this race.

This meet concludes the season for cross country, but both runners were just freshman and will return to the fold next year. They will be counted on to lay the foundation for a new crop of runners next season.
