Pippa Passes, KY: On October 2nd, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles returned home to face the Ohio Christian Trailblazers in soccer action. The Bluegrass boys gave up the first goal before rolling out a nice run to earn a 5-2 victory.
The Buckeye crew struck first, lacing a goal at 10:00 to draw first blood, 1-0. After that, the hosts woke up.
At 18:00, Maddux Camden took a pass from Dylan Moore and pounded it home to tie the game up, 1-1. Then at 26:00, Moore went solo, producing his own score to lift the Eagles to a 2-1 advantage.
Just before the half, Alex De Wolfe rode an assist from Luis Sarabia to set the halftime score, 3-1.
In the second half, the score remained unchanged until the 64th minute. Thats when the combo of Moore- Camden struck again with Camden's second big goal. Now the board read, 4-1.
OCU dug into the deficit with a score at 72:00 (4-2) but the Pippa Passes posse made that back at 81:00 when Jensen Harbaugh rode the solo-train for a decisive score. This 5-2 margin would then hold until the final horn sounded.
On the day, the Pass (7-0-2) fired 9 shots-on-goal, compared to OCU's 7, while the home team led in corner kicks, 4-3. Ohio (3-5-1) led in saves, 9-7.
Pippa Passes goalie Kalin Schneider went the distance, allowing 2 goals with 7 saves.
Offensively, Camden delivered 2 goals while Moore scored 1 goal and delivered a pair of assists. Harbaugh and De Wolfe each contributed a score while Sarabia chipped in with his own assist.
