MIDDLETOWN, Ohio The River States Conference Men's Golf Tournament took place at the Resort at Glade Springs golf course in Daniels, West Virginia. The three-day, 54- hole event, was held April 28th-30th.

Twelve squads with fifty-nine individuals took to the links for the big event. At the end of the day, Rio Grande would emerge as the victor, defeating runner-up West Virginia Tech University on the second playoff hole. The individual champion was Bryson Beaver of WV Tech who fired a 214 (-2) to win by eight strokes.

For the event, Alice Lloyd College would finish eighth. They were led by the outstanding effort of senior Mason Compton, who would end his career by firing a 227 (+11) to finish in a tie for 4th place. With his impressive performance, Compton becomes the first golfer in school history to earn First Team All-Conference honors, which goes to the top-five finishers in tournament play.

He was followed by Dillon Fields, who shot a 241 to finish in 32nd place. Just behind Fields was Jason Price in 41st position. His final round total of 75 was a PR and tied for the third best result of the day.

Also representing the Pippa Passes club admirably were Caleb Leonard, who shot a 249, and Chase Petry, who ended up at 271.

The RSC Champions of Character Team honors one member of each team who best displays the NAIA character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship. For Alice Lloyd, Caleb Leonard was chosen as the recipient.
