ALC Eagles Student-Athlete of the Week (December 18th, 2023): Jared Strickland

We award the male Student-Athlete of the Week honor to Eagle basketball player Jared Strickland, who came up big in three huge victories on the week.

In a 77-62 win at Rio Grande University, he scored 22 points on 8-13 shooting with 4-6 trifectas and 6 rebounds.

He followed that up in a 109-82 win over Crowley's Ridge, Arkansas, by scoring 16 points on 6-12 shooting and 4-6 bombs, with 2 rebounds.

Finally, in an 81-74 win at Campbellsville Harrodsburg, he added 22 more points on 7-16 shooting and 3-7 bombs while snagging 4 rebounds.

 For the week, the Kingsport (TN) native averaged 20 points per game, shooting 51.2% from the field, 57.9% from long range, and 7-11 from the charity stripe. In addition, he grabbed 12 rebounds and added 3 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block.

The Eagles are currently 8-4 on the season.
