ALC Eagles Student-Athlete of the Week (December 4th, 2023): Jared Strickland

We award the male Student-Athlete of the Week honor to Eagle basketball player Jared Strickland.

In a tough 88-79 defeat at Shawnee State University, he would lead the way with 22 points on 9-16 shooting. He also had 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals.

The senior guard followed that up in a big win over Boyce College with a 21-point effort which included 4-7 long range accuracy.

Finally, in an 87-79 loss to West Virginia Tech, he produced 18 points on 6-11 shooting.

For the week, the native of Kingsport (TN) averaged 19 points a game while shooting 55.3% from the field, 45% from long range, and 75% from the charity line.

The Eagles are currently 5-3 on the season.
