Alice Lloyd Baseball plays single game at University of Pikeville
Pikeville, KY: On April 16th, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles baseball team made the short journey to Pikeville to face the UPike Bears in a single contest.
Once the last out had been recorded, the Bears emerged victorious, 11-0. With the win, Pikeville sees their record move to 27-14 while the Eagles now reside at 16-28.

The Bears roared out of the gate by unleashing their big bats. They would utilize a pair of singles, a triple and a bases loaded double to produce five scores, (5-0).
In the second, the hosts would add a score on a sacrifice fly (6-0). They then added a pair of scores in the fourth, fueled by a homerun. Pikeville now led, 8-0.
In the meantime, ALC would have their bats contained as they only produced a trio of singles through six innings.
Finally, in the seventh, the Pikeville club would end the contest by belting a three-run blast. That would give them a 11-0 victory.
For the day, ALC recorded 3 hits, with Aaron Rothballer (DH), Cory Jefferson (2B) and Dawson Beckett (1B) each accounting for a single.
On the mound, Tyler Brammer suffered the loss as he gave up 2 hits and 4 runs in 0.1 innings. He was relieved by Josiah Griswold, who allowed 8 hits and 4 runs in 3.2 innings. He recorded the lone strikeout. Cain Flynn closed the game and gave up 4 hits and 3 runs in 2 innings.
