Game 1

Alice Lloyd-3; WSL-5

In the opening contest, the Lakers opened the contest with a double that sparked a 2-run inning (2-0). The Eagles earned one back in the bottom half as TJay Mullins (LF) rapped a double (2-1).

In the second, WSL singled and used a fielder's choice to gain two more scores (4-1). However, Ryan Cozart (3B) came through with a blast for the hosts over the left field fence to half the deficit once more (4-2).

ALC inched closer in the fourth when Wyatt Hobgood drilled a triple to center to shrink the deficit to 4-3.

However, in the fifth, a clutch double by Wright State gave them a big insurance run.  The Ohio squad was then able to preserve their advantage until the final out.

In the fourth, an Eagle wild pitch permitted the tying run to race home (2-2). The score then remained unchanged until the seventh.

In that inning, with a Laker runner on third base, an error brought him home (3-2). Unfortunately, the home squad was unable to plate the tying run in their last at-bat.
