ALC's Newport Named to NCCAA All-Tournament Team, 7 Lady Eagles named Scholar Athletes
Greenville, SC: The NCCAA has announced it's first list of Softball awards for the 2026 season. These include the All- Tournament Team from the Softball World Series that was recently played in Grapevine, Texas, as well as the Scholar-Athlete recipients.
For Alice Lloyd College, outfielder Mackinzie Newport was selected to the 11-member All-Tournament squad. For Scholar-Athletes, which goes to players that have maintained a solid 3.4 GPA, seven Lady Eagles received this honor. They are: Shelby Gibson, Dailey Hicks, Kinna Justice, Shanna Ray, Arin Rife, Rachel Rife, and Katie Samuel.
