Arin Rife - Women's Softball

We award the Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor to women's softball pitcher Arin Rife  for her impressive performance that helped the squad win three games.

Arin Rife had an outstanding week helping Alice Lloyd College to two of their four wins from the circle. She pitched a total of 9.2 innings and struck out 15 batters while allowing just four hits in her two outings. The native of Grundy, Virginia allowed just one walk as she had great command of the strike zone. With the four wins this week, Alice Lloyd improves to 13-11 on the year.

For her efforts, she was also named the NCCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Male Student-Athlete of the Week

Johndward Lopez - Men's Baseball

We award the Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor to men's baseball outfielder Johndward Lopez for his impressive performance this week.

Lopez highlighted a strong offensive week for Alice Lloyd College with a game-tying home run in the seventh inning against Defiance College to force extra innings. Later in that game, the Eagles would complete the comeback to finish the week at 3-3.

 The freshman from Carolina, Puerto Rico was a power hitter all week hitting four home runs, a triple, and a double in five games played. He tallied 10 RBI, with at least one in every game, and scored eight runs. Lopez had multiple hits in three of the five games played to highlight the Eagles' offensive effort this week. 

 For his efforts, he was also named the NCCAA Baseball Offensive Player of the Week.
